Your Local Breeder & The Pack
Pack Leader Mercy
Zodiac Sign : Aquarius
Im a New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn New York. My Journey to where I am today was definitely a roller coaster of emotions, heartache and labor. Ill try to keep it sort of short and sweet. Living in New York its near impossible to have a dog, if its not the landlords denying your request for a pet its the apartments being to small. This all changed for me when I Finally found a puppy who at the time I didn’t know would change many lives. Her name was Nami. Fast forward a couple of years, I find my soul mate and partner in running what now is Little Paws Nursery. Challenge accepted, Neville lived in Alabama & I lived in Queens, NY. Three years later I Make the move and Nami would stay with my mother and comfort her while we are apart she always was much closer to her then anyone else and little did I know we met so she would find her forever mama my mom. I go more in depth on how I got to becoming a breeder in the video before if you’d like to know me more personally be sure to watch it.

What is low ALT & how does it effect a breeding program?
Quoted directly from Embark
“Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) is a clinical tool that can be used by veterinarians to better monitor liver health. This result is not associated with liver disease. ALT is one of several values veterinarians measure on routine blood work to evaluate the liver. It is a naturally occurring enzyme located in liver cells that helps break down protein. When the liver is damaged or inflamed, ALT is released into the bloodstream.”
The bottom line for your breeding program
“Dogs with one or two copies of the variant can lead completely normal lives, and do NOT need to be removed from a breeding program. In fact, at this time, there aren’t even any specific recommendations to only breed at-risk dogs to clear dogs.
